Two Tomorrows: Copywriting for sustainability consultancy

Website creation and management, marketing literature, speeches and more for fast-growing consultancy

I’ve played a part in the rise of niche sustainability consultancy Two Tomorrows over the past 10 years as the firm’s de facto chief copywriter.

Working as part of a team put together by marketing and PR agency Forsyth Websper, I’ve written a wide range of content and materials that have helped Two Tomorrows raise the profile of its brand, generate leads and build a reputation for clear, incisive communication and thought leadership.

My main focus has been the company’s website. At the outset, I identified the most important user tasks and developed a structure that would make it easy for those tasks to be completed – while allowing the firm to demonstrate its credentials and breadth of services. I then wrote all the content and worked with a web design agency to support the design and build of the site. Now I provide ongoing web content writing and management.

Over the past five years, there has been steady growth in traffic to the site and – more importantly – in direct lead generation. In addition to my role as web manager for Two Tomorrows, since 2004 I’ve also written:

  • a quarterly customer/prospect news magazine
  • dozens of conference speeches and presentations for members of the top team
  • brochures, leaflets and other sales literature
  • direct email
  • opinion pieces for industry publications
  • briefing papers on topical sustainability issues
  • reports on research carried out by Two Tomorrows.

With many of these projects, I’ve also provided full project management through to design and production.

Two Tomorrows has grown steadily during my time working with them. In 2012, the firm was acquired by DNV, the Norway-based global risk management group.
